Associate Professor Melinda B. Roaldsen
MD and stroke expert with lived experience
Melinda B. Roaldsen is a MD, Associate Professor and stroke expert with lived experience. She serves as Vice Head of the Department of Clinical Medicine at UiT, the Arctic University of Norway and at the University Hospital of North-Norway as a Senior Advisor.
Since 2014, Melinda has been at the forefront of acute stroke research, primarily focusing on large-scale international clinical trials and contributing to Cochrane reviews. She serves as the COO for SAP-E, the largest stroke project ever in Europe, and is a member of the Guideline Board for ESO. She is also an Ambassador of the Global Stroke Action Coalition and a founding member of the Global Young Adult Stroke Research Alliance. She is also Co-Founder and Scientific Director of SHINE and one of the Chairs of the WSO Guidelines Committee.
