24 years ago, my daughter, Emily, had 2 strokes as a toddler, my journey as a volunteer for Childhood Stroke began. Initially, I worked with GOSH hospital as a parent representative which led to volunteering with the Stroke Association. I was on the development group for the “Stroke in Childhood Guidelines” in 2017. I am involved in various projects to raise awareness of childhood stroke in clinical and non-clinical sectors, help produce resources and support families of children who have had a stroke. I am a member of the Childhood Stroke Reference Group in the UK. My ultimate goal is for everyone be aware of Childhood Stroke.
