Sarah Belson
Stroke Association, UK
Sarah has 30 years experience working in health, social care and community development in Europe, Asia and Africa. Since 2015 Sarah has worked with the Stroke Association UK and the World Stroke Organization.
Her work includes collaborating with the global network of stroke support organizations, coordinating capacity strengthening activities and facilitating the meaningful involvement of people with lived experience of stroke in research collaborations and policy consultations.
Sarah holds an MSc in International Development Studies, from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London and is currently a PhD student at Brunel University of London undertaking narrative inquiry research with stroke survivors in a community setting in Kumasi, Ghana.
