Ciara is the HSCP Lead within the HSE National Clinical Programme for Stroke in Ireland. She is an Occupational Therapist by background, with over twenty-five years of clinical, managerial and strategic experience.   

Ciara’s clinical experience has been primarily centred around stroke, older persons services, and neuro-rehabilitation, and she has particular interest in interventions for the hidden elements of disability such as fatigue and cognitive dysfunction. She is the national lead for the development of Early Supported Discharge services for stroke in Ireland and also maintains a clinical practice in Galway, Ireland.
